On July 30, 2026, Ambassador Xiang Bo of China to Iraq met with Mr. Ammar Al-Hakim, Leader of Iraq's National Wisdom Movement.

The two sides spoke positively of the progress achieved in China-Iraq relations and expressed their willingness to further strengthen inter-party exchanges and cooperation, so as to promote continued development of practical cooperation across various fields between the two countries.The two sides also exchanged views on regional issues of common interest.
